The College of Southern Idaho offers a one-year program leading to a horse management technical certificate. Colorado State University - Fort Collins, CO Colorado State University in offers an Equine Science major as well as a baccalaureate degree program in two areas: science and industry. Graduate studies are also available in the areas of Equine Orthopedics, Equine Reproduction, and Equine Nutrition.

Cornell University - Ithaca, NY
Cornell University offers a 16-week Short Course in general farriership. The course will provide students with general classroom and practical knowledge of related anatomy and the fundamental aspects of shoeing and fabrication of shoes. A one-week Advanced Farrier Course is available to practicing farriers with at least two years of experience and to active veterinarians interested in the latest advances in farriery techniques.

Delaware Valley College - Doylestown, PA
Delaware Valley College offers a four-year baccalaureate degree in Animal Science prepare graduates for management positions in equestrian and breeding facilities, horse show personnel management, organization, and marketing, business management in trade publications, positions within national and international regulatory agencies, as well as riding, driving, instruction and training positions.

The Maryland Horseshoeing School offers a 6-week course - Apprentice I, a 12-week course - Apprentice II, and a 15-week course - Apprentice II/Journeyman I. Midway College is a liberal arts women's college offering three majors which are organized within the equine studies program: the Associate of Arts in equine management, the Bachelor of Arts in equine studies, and the Bachelor of Science in equine science. MSU offers a B.S. degree program with a major in Animal Technology with an option in Animal/Equine Science, Animal Health Technology and AHT/Pre-Veterinary Medicine.

New Mexico State University - Las Cruces, NM
New Mexico State University offers a minor in horse management along with rodeo, horse judging, polo, and equestrian teams (English and Western). NMSU also offers a gateway for students to help with programs such as Therapeutic Horsemanship and 4-H youth activities. Students also have the advantage of hands-on experience in the breeding and training programs at the equestrian center and horse farm.

North Carolina School of Horseshoeing and Equine Lameness - Pilot Mountain, NC
North Carolina School of Horseshoeing and Equine Lameness offers 2-week, 4-week, 6-week, 8-week, and 9-12 week live-in daytime courses focusing on all aspects of horseshoeing and equine lameness.

North Central Texas College - Gainesville, TX
North Central Texas College offers two AA degree programs in Equine Science and Farm & Ranch Management and a one-year program in breeding farm management.

Northwest College - Powell, WY
Northwest College offers a two-year vocational training program resulting in an Associate of Applied Science degree in English and Western riding, Equine Business and Farriers.

Ohio State University Extension - Dublin, Ohio
Offered is an Equine Science minor providing students with the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in an important agricultural industry.

Ohio University Southern Campus - Ironton, OH
Ohio University Southern Campus in Ironton offers an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Equine Studies emphasizing equine health, business and farm management, reproduction and riding in hunt, western and saddleseat. Shur Shod Horseshoeing School - Cimarron, KS
Shur Shod Horseshoeing School offers 4-week sessions with a total of 160 structured class hours. Courses are limited to 4 students.

Stockbridge School - Amherst, MA
A division of the College of Natural Resources and the Environment, University of Massachusetts, Amherst campus. The Equine Industries program is a horse management program with emphasis on the care, breeding and training of horses. Business and financial aspects of the business are also covered.

Southern Illinois University - Carbondale, IL
The Department of Animal Science, Food & Nutrition offers a B.S. Degree program with a major in Animal Science as well as Equine Science. A Pre-Veterinary and Science option is also available.

South Suburban College - South Holland, IL
South Suburban College offers an Equine Operations Certificate through their Equine Program. The Equine Program is designed for men and women who need the basic equestrian skills in training, handling, feeding and nutrition.

University of Florida - Gainesville, FL
Animal Science Department offers an undergraduate Equine Option within the Animal Science Industry Specialty along with a Master of Science (MS) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in Equine Nutrition and Equine Reproductive Physiology.

University of Kentucky - Lexington, KY
The Animal Science Department of the University of Kentucky offers B.S. degree in Animal Sciences emphasizing the management and production of horses. Students may complete their pre-veterinary requirements or if in the graduate program, work towards a Master of Science (M.S.) or a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in equine nutrition or a related area.

Virginia Tech - Blacksburg, VA
The Department of Animal and Poultry Sciences offer two options for a four-year B.S. degree program. William Woods University - Fulton, MO
William Wood's Division of Equestrian Studies is the home of the first four-year Equestrian Science degree program in the country. Offered is a four-year baccalaureate program with majors in either Equestrian Science or Equestrian Administration with applied riding in Dressage, Hunt Seat, Saddle Seat and Western as well as a full calendar of horse shows and clinics.

Wilson College - Chambersburg, PA
Wilson College offers a four-year B.S. degree in Equestrian Studies focusing on equine management and equestrian management.
